About Rent my Tools
Borrow what you need. Lend what you don't.
Rent my Tools is a peer-to-peer neighborhood marketplace that makes it easy to borrow the gear you need without buying it. From power tools and lawn equipment to party tents and event supplies, our platform connects neighbors who have underused items with people who need them for a project, a weekend, or a special occasion.
The app is built for homeowners tackling DIY projects, renters and apartment dwellers without storage space, event planners organizing parties and gatherings, gardeners maintaining their yards, and anyone who wants to save money and reduce waste by renting instead of buying. Owners can list their tools, set their own daily rates, offer optional delivery, and earn income from items that would otherwise sit unused. Renters can browse nearby listings, check real-time availability, book securely with Stripe-protected payments, and coordinate pickup through in-app messaging.
Rent my Tools is built and operated by a small team passionate about the sharing economy, sustainable consumption, and stronger local communities. Our mission is to make borrowing as easy as buying — saving you money, reducing clutter, and bringing neighbors together.
